Fukrey 2 will have the original starcast including Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba under banner of Excel Productions is expected to be a full-pack comical entertainer.
Fukrey 2 Star Cast:
Born in Punjabi family in Delhi, Pulkit started his career in acting in Mumbai after a brief period of modelling. He was awarded the the best fresh face of the year award for his work in Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Due to a bad back, the actor left the series in 2007. Thereafter he appeared as in the musical series Taj Express. He made his debut with Bittoo Boss and Jai Ho.
The performance of the actor in the movie led him to his next project Fukrey. The movie witnessed great success at he box office. After this he played the lead in Atul Agnihotri’s O Teri followed by debut of Arbaaz Khan’s Dolly Ki Doll. The actor then starred in Divya Khosla Kumar’s Sanam Re opposite Yami Gautam.
The actor made his debut in Bollywood with the movie Fukrey. The small-budget movie came as a surprise hit to the industry. Varun hails from Jalandhar in Punjab and had been a model in his earlier days for various brands including Nissan Micra, Ebay, Airtel.
He has acted in several comedies following the success of movie Fukrey including Rabba Mei Kya Karoon and Kis Kisko Pyaar Karun. The actor had won best comic role for the movie from Star Guild and Zee Cine awards.
Born on October 15,1986, Ali an actor hailing from Allahabad. Fazal’s parents got divorced when he was 18 and had separated since he was a kid. Fazal was living in his maternal home. During his schooldays Fazal was an avid basketball player and wanted to represent India in the national team. He discovered his love for theater as a serendipity when he was chosen for the role of Trincolo in the play of William Shakespeare, during a time when he could not practice basketball due to a broken hand. However, on the insistence of his famil, he graduated in Economics from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai.
Fazal started his acting career in 2008 with James Dodson’s movie The Other End Of The Line. The movie was a critical failure. His acting skills landed him in various other projects subsequently like Bollywood hero and Ek Tho Chance. In 2009, he was roped in for 3 Idiots movie, turned out to be his Bollywood debut. Fazal was noticed for his acting skills and got in many roles. He survived another flop Always Kabhi Kabhi and managed to gather appreciation for his acting skill.
In 2013, Fazal received a breakthrough in his career through his role in the movie Fukrey, wherein he played the role of Zafar, a struggling musician. Though some critics had stated that Fazal’s role in the movie was underwritten, the movie turned proved to be a turning point as he received many lead roles post this work. In 2015, his movie Khamoshiyan which was a psychological horror film. Fazal had been cast in many other roles including an Indo-Chinese movie. He is seen playing the role of a punjabi boy in the movie Happy Bhag jayegi and is seen in the cast of Bang Baaja Baarat of Yashraj Films. Fazal worked to participate for the fund-raiser musical concert ‘Rooh Kambdi’ to provide relief to those hit by Nepal Earthquake.
The young actor was born in Delhi in a Sikh family with father working as a businessman. She received great recognition in her role from the movie Fukrey wherein she plays the role of Bholi Punjaban, a local gangster. According to Karan Adarsh, her introduction in the movie lend it an upward march. Richa then played as the lead in the movie Tamanchey where she plays the role of Babu, the criminal. She worked in Mira Nair’s Word with the Gods. Thereafter, the movie Charles Sobhraj Aur Mei also saw her portraying an unusual role. Currently she is working on Sudhir Mishra’s Aur Devdas as Paro and in Aditi Rao Hydari’s movie as Chandramukhi. She has also been roped in to play as Sarabjit’s wife in the biopic Sarabjit.
2014 saw Richa working with the PETA and urging people to go vegetarian but she also opposed the beef ban imposed by the government in Maharashtra. She represented India in the International Marrakech International Festival besides modelling for firm like Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate and Archies Gallery.
An actress who is more known for her role in Tamil and Telugu films, she made her Bollywood debut in 2012 from the movie English Vinglish. Though her acting career started eith the Tamil movie Vaamanam in 2012. Priya has Chennai as herbirthpalce. Born to a tamil mother and a maharashtrian origin father, Priya shared a legacy of mixed background and raised up in Telangana as well as Chennai, she became fluent in both languages Tamil and Telugu.
Priya wanted to work in the technical aspects of cinema but her wildest dreams came true when she landed up as an actress. Fukrey gave Priya a welcome success and she has acted in another movie Rangrezz also released in 2013.
Mrighdeep Singh Lamba (Director)
Mrighdeep is recognised as a director par excellence. He has been in the India movie scene since a decade. He grew up watching Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai films and was a fan of the movie Karma. and had a falir of waching Vijay Anad’s movies. He has to his credit the 2013 release Fukrey which won both critical and audience acclaim. The coming- of-age movie saw the prowess of the directorial skill of Lamba. He is fond of Dibakar Bannerjee’s work too. The director is known to track humor in all situations He has also directed the movie Teen They Bhai starring Om Puri, Deepak Dobriyal, Ragini Khanna. Presently he is preparing for his next directorila venture of Fukrey 2.
Teh director also has to his credit being the screenpaly witer of the movie Fukrey. Additionally, he is the cinematographer of the movie Kaash. Mrighdeep is the alumnus the Asian Academy of Film & Television.
